A practical kid’s bike for everyday use
British bike brand Ridgeback has announced Dimension, a range of lightweight bikes aimed at 6-11 year olds. There are two sizes available – Dimension 20 at £259.99 and Dimension 24 at £279.99.
Available this summer, Dimension meets growing demand for ‘sensible kid’s bikes' that are better suited to everyday use and which are more versatile than a mountain bike based child’s bike.
The Dimension range has benefitted from a complete redesign for 2015 and is available in a choice of colours including blue, purple and silver metallic as well as lime. Available for both boys and girls, the Dimension range has a butted alloy frame and a robust specification designed for regular use. As well as a Shimano cassette hub, stainless spokes and Ryde alloy rims, the Dimension has an all-aluminium parts mix to ensure weight remains low.
Toby Howes, Senior Bike Designer for Ridgeback said: “The demand for kid’s bikes continues to grow and Dimension is a natural category for Ridgeback as the brand is already very strong in commuting and kid’s bikes and Dimension is a combination of both. Available in 20” and 24” and a variety of colours these are great bikes for any child who wants to be riding every day.
