The Cosmic Pro Carbon has been a favorite with racers for over two decades. When it first launched, as one of the very rims to use carbon, it was mainly used for racing on the flat. However, year after year we’ve made tweaks and improvement so this wheel now delivers a superb climbing performance, giving it the versatility it was once missing.

Alloy/carbon hybrid
At only 1650g with a 45mm deep rim, Cosmic Pro Carbon offers the perfect balance of lightweight and low drag. The new rim shape is NACA compliant and wide (25mm) bringing low drag and excellent crosswind stability. The rim is a clever hybrid of alloy and carbon, using the best qualities of both materials. The alloy rim core is ISM (Inter Spoke Milling) machined to keep its weight at a minimum, by removing the excess material in between each spoke where it’s not needed for stiffness and durability.

This alloy rim provides the best support for high-pressure clincher tires and means efficient braking in all conditions even with standard pads. The carbon flanges improve aerodynamics by increasing the rim depth and lowering its drag to save watts and vital seconds when you’re riding at speed. But it’s much more than just a fairing. It’s a structural part of the wheel that adds the lateral and frontal stiffness that top racers crave.

The rims are laced with our new, patented aerodynamic spokes saving you another few watts. And the hubs sport our new fast engagement, light, Instant Drive 360 freewheel system that runs on super smooth bearings. It’s also easily convertible from Shimano/Sram to Campagnolo cassettes, in 9,10 or 11 speed.
